Our summer school initiative is designed to inspire a generation of change-makers, equipping them with the insights and tools necessary to tackle the protection gap head-on. Through this program, students will gain a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the (re)insurance market, driven by the firsthand experiences and wisdom of industry leaders.

This unique opportunity allows participants to learn from and engage with ILS industry officials and UN representatives, who collectively deploy more than $10 bn of capital into ILS, sharing their insights on bridging the gap between economic and insured losses worldwide.

We are excited to announce the launch of the first-ever Insurance-Linked Securities (ILS) Summer School, brought to you by the team behind the Fundamentals of ILS, set to take place in 2024 in Lausanne, Switzerland. This unparalleled course will feature a combination of in-person workshops, seminars, and introductory meetings with representatives from some of the world’s leading ILS funds and the United Nations (UN).

Throughout the week, participants will have exclusive access to key investment allocators in the ILS market, managing approximately $10 bn in catastrophe bonds and other insurance-linked instruments. These industry experts will share their perspectives on the asset class, provide market outlooks, and offer guidance on forging a career in ILS.

This is the inaugural course of its kind, designed specifically for those looking to expand their knowledge of ILS, connect with influential figures in the industry, and gain a deeper understanding of the asset class.

Upon successful completion of the program, you’ll receive a formal Diploma in Insurance-Linked Securities signed by all faculty members who delivered you the programme and a Dip ILS designation to underline your commitments.

Diploma is issued by Collège Romand – Centre de formation d’adulte, a Swiss educational institution for continuous education. SQS/Eduqua quality certificate available HERE.

The content of this course has been certified by the UK CPD Certification Service as conforming to continuing professional development principles and may be applicable to individuals who are members of, or are associated with, UK-based professional bodies.
